Lord
Muruga is the most celebrated deity of our Nagarathar Community.
In fact Lord Muruga is the foremost deity of the Tamil Diasaporum
as a whole. According to the Tamil Legends Lord Muruga had
a small quarrel with Lord Ganesha in the presence of his parents
Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi over a Mango Fruit.
The witty Lord Ganesha was given the Mango and Lord Muruga in a fit of anger
came to the Palani Hill and stood in Isolation. Thus Lord Muruga Stood on Palani
Hill in Isolation and blessed our Universe with his Knowledge and Power.He granted
his Devotees with Health, Wealth and other Bounteous Boons.
